On August 17th the new skate park will be dedicated.  This event, put on by Richlite, will bring internationally re-known skateboarders and BMX riders to our island for the weekend, along with multitudes of off-islanders.  Please see the Chamber Calendar for what information we currently have.   Stay tuned…

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12, 2013

WSF Hosting San Juan Islands Community Meeting 5-7pm, Lopez Island Library meeting room, corner Fisherman Bay Rd & Hummel Lake Rd, WSF will host eight community meetings around the Sound to discuss a variety of issues, including the 2013 legislative session, liquefied natural gas as a source of fuel, new vessel construction, ferry system performance measures, and route-specific issues  The San Juan County meeting will be held in the SJCC chambers, and streamed live to the Orcas and Lopez libraries and on the San Juan County website.  Questions will be taken via email by writing coursem@wsdot.wa.gov Phone: 360-468-2256

Lopez Garden Tour & Display of Quilts at Woodmen Hall10am-3pm, Woodmen Hall, 4102 Fisherman Bay Rd, The Lopez Garden Club is having their garden tour with 3 unique gardens, 1 farm and 1 landscape design. There will be a display of quilts during the tour.  Tickets are $15 for non-Garden Club members & $10 for Garden Club members, and will be available at Paper Scissors, Lopez Book Store and the General store on the south end.
